Ellen Burstyn
No one will ever deny the fact that Ellen Burstyn was an important figure in the 1970’s. She received Oscar nominations for her performances in the films The Last Picture Show and The Exorcist, and went on to win one for her work in the Martin Scorsese film Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore. Her other important projects include the films: Requiem for a Dream and Resurrection. She is still acting these days and last appeared in the 2018 HBO movie The Tale opposite Laura Dern.

We all know Meryl Streep, of course! We love her for her iconic performances, but did you know that she first started acting on Broadway? She later landed a part in the made for television movie Deadliest Season and the film Kramer vs. Kramer. She even won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her work in the latter! She has since joined the ranks of Hollywood’s most awarded stars. In fact, she has more Academy Award nominations under her belt than anyone in the industry! Her recent projects include Big Little Lies and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
