As we mentioned, Dolly was raised in a very low-income household with 12 siblings. Her childhood house in Tennessee didn’t have good plumbing or electricity. When she hit it big, she gave money to her brother Bobby to restore and improve the house. She wanted to keep it looking exactly the same, and only wanted to improve the plumbing and electricity. Interesting!
