In 1993 Selleck was a guest-star on The Chevy Chase Show. As a skit, the show wanted to mention Selleck’s recent award for the Worst Supporting Actor Razzie award for his role as King Ferdinand of Spain in Christopher Columbus: The Discovery. When presented with the Razzie on air, Selleck joked through it all and asked the audience to “blow me a raspberry.”

During the final season of Magnum, P.I., Universal Studios gave Selleck a nice bonus, to the rune of $350,000. Now while he did spend the money on Rolex watches and a new Porsche, he did something even more amazing. He gave the entire Magnum, P.I. cast and crew $1,000 bonuses. What a stand up guy!
