Many people refer to her as “The Snapple Lady,” but her actual name is Wendy Kaufman, and she was the face of the brand in the 1990’s. After she appeared in ads, Snapples sales went from $23 million to a staggering $750 million.
The Orbit Gum Girl: $500,000
The actress who appears in the Orbit gum commercials is named Vanessa Lynn Branch. However, she has also appeared in several TV shows as well, including 90210, Little Hercules, and Redline. $500,000 per year for a TV ad ain’t too shabby either.
The Pine-Sol Woman: $250,000
Diane Amos became the face of Pine-Sol and is certainly best recognized for her role in the advertisement. However, she has also appeared in acting roles in projects such as Twister, Nine Months, Patch Adams, Sweet November, and Jasmine. However, you can’t deny that she is certainly best known as the “Pine-Sol Lady.”
The Maytag Man: $1 million
While actor Colin Ferguson has appeared in roles in films and TV shows like Eureka, The Vampire Diaries, and Then Came You, he is probably best recognized from his role as the Maytag Man in the brand’s advertisements. For his role in these commercials, he earned a cool $1 million, not too bad!
The Wendy’s Girl: $3 million
You might recognize actress Morgan Smith-Goodwin from her role as “The Wendy’s Girl” in advertisements for the fast-food joint, but she has some serious acting experience as well. She is an original cast member of Off-Broadway show Freckleface Strawberry. For her role in the Wendy’s ad from 2012-2016, she made $3 million!
The Old Spice Guy: $5 million
We would be remiss to leave this guy out of our list. Nearly everyone will recognize “the Old Spice Guy” and his famous phrases: “look at your man…now look at me” and “I’m on a horse.” Isaiah Mustafa is the actor’s name, and he has also appeared in Days of Our Lives, Horrible Bosses, and It Two.
The Target Lady: $300,000
Maria Bamford gained nationwide recognition when she appeared in ads for Target as “the Target Lady,” however, she is an accomplished stand up comedian and actress as well. She also had many roles in voice acting including in American Dad!, Spongebob Squarepants, Catdog, and Stuart Little 2.
The Cingular Wireless Umbrella Girl: $75,000
This is one example of how a successful ad campaign can help launch an acting career. Angela Sarafyan appeared in Cingular Wireless ads as “The Umbrella Girl,” and has since had quite the successful acting career. Her most prominent role is of Clementine in HBO’s Westworld, and she also appeared in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
The Most Interesting Man in the World: $1 Million
One of the best recognized faces from TV ads is “the most interesting man in the world” who appears in the Dos Equis ads. The actor who gets to go by this title is Jonathan Goldsmith, and he has amassed over 350 TV appearances throughout his career. Since his role in the Dos Equis ad, the beer’s sales increased 15.4%. Now that’s a successful ad campaign.
The Slim Jim Dude: $100,000
Actor Demetri Goritsas has several prominent acting roles under his belt, but to most of us, he will always be remembered as the “Slim Jim guy.” Since this role in the 90’s, he has appeared in X-Men First Class, Darkest Hour, and also The Bourne Identity.
The T-Mobile Girl: $1 Million
Actress Carly Foulkes decided to answer an ad for a T-Mobile commercial in 2009, not knowing just how popular the role would be. She appeared in the “No More Mrs. Nice Girl” T-Mobile ad in that very role from 2010-2013. She often wore pink/magenta and white in the ads, colors that are actually trademarked by the company!
The Toyota Girl: $1 Million
Who doesn’t remember Jan, the “Toyota girl” with her bubbly personality and ambitious spirit. The actress who portrayed her is named Laurel Coppock and she has appeared in shows such as Arrested Development, The Office, and Modern Family. She also starred in the film Crazy, Stupid Love.
The ‘It’s Not That Complicated’ Guy: $250,000
Actor Beck Bennett is now a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live, but before landing the coveted spot, he was best known as the “It’s Not That Complicated” guy from AT&T commercials, where he hilariously interviewed groups of children and talking to them about AT&T. He is also a member of sketch comedy group Good Neighbor.
The Red Robin Lady: $50,249
Actress Melanie Paxson became known for her role as “the Red Robin lady” in their TV commercials. Before then, she appeared in ads for Gladeware. Paxson has also appeared in shows like The Drew Carey Show, Joey, Kitchen Confidential, as well as a recurring part on Happy Family.

If you had a TV between the years of 2002 and 2011, there’s no way you don’t recognize the iconic line: “can you hear me now?” from Verizon commercials. Actor Paul Marcarelli is the star of these ads. In 2016, Marcarelli switched over to ads for rival cellular company, Sprint.
Mr. Mayhem, Allstate Commercials: $4,750/Airing
Actor Dean Winters portrays the character of Mr. Mayhem in Allstate TV commercials. Based on the character Mr. White from the film Reservoir Dogs, Mr. Mayhem earns Winters over $4500 each time the ad is aired. Winters has also appeared in TV shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Law & Order: SVU, and Rescue Me.
The GoDaddy Guy: $900,000
Jessie Hieman is best known for his role in a GoDaddy advertisement that aired during Super Bowl XLVII. In the ad, he shared a kiss with model Bar Refaeli, and after the ad aired, it was very well received by audiences. Heiman has also appeared in shows like NCIS, Entourage, and Criminal Minds. He also had a small role in the film Old School.
The InVinceable Guy: $2 million
Vince Offer, whose real name is Offer Shlomi, is the informercial pitchman behind many products ads, but he’s probably best known for his ads for InVinceable and ShamWow. Offer actually owns and produces in the TV ads in addition to starring in them. He is also a comedian.
Flo, The Progressive Insurance Woman: $8 Million
Anybody who has ever watched TV will most certainly recognize Flo, The Progressive Insurance Woman. Actress Stephanie Courtney is the woman behind the famous character. In addition to her famous role as Flo, Courtney has also appeared in Mad Men and The Goldbergs. Her role as Flo has earned her quite the impressive salary of $8 million.
Little Mikey from Life Cereal: $10 Million
Little Mikey is the adorable face we recognize from Life Cereal TV commercials. The boy who portrayed him is named John Gilchrist, and the boy who played his brother in the ad is actually his real life brother, Tommy. In 1999, TV Guide included the ad in the top ten commercials of all time.
The Dell Computer Dude: $50,000
Actor Ben Curtis became a familiar face after he appeared in TV commercials for Dell computers. He played Steven, or as most people referred to him, “the Dell dude.” He is best known for popularizing the catchphrase “dude, you’re getting a Dell.” In 2003, he was arrested, and Dell ended the campaign with him.
The 7 Up Guy: $500,000
Actor Orlando Jones appeared in a successful 7-Up campaign between the years 1999 and 2002. He later spent some time on sketch comedy series MAD TV. Since then, he has been a screenwriter for A Different World, and has appeared in Sour Grapes, Office Space, and Liberty Heights.
The Trivago Guy: $20,000
Timothy Williams is the actor known to many as the “Trivago Guy.” Apart from this successful ad campaign, Williams has appeared in films like Valkyrie, Ninja Assassin, and Labyrinth of Lies. He is also a musician, and in 2018 he released his first album, called Magnolia City.
The Guy From Sonic Commercials: $300,000
T.J. Jagodowski is a talented and well known improv comedy actor who caught the attention of Sonic executives. He and Pete Grosz began to appear in Sonic commercials, mostly improvising all of their lines. Jagodowski was named “best improviser” in the Chicago Improv Festival. He also appeared in Prison Break and Stranger Than Fiction.
‘I’ve Fallen, and I Can’t Get Up Lady’: Unknown
Despite the fact that her salary from the role is not publicly known, we would be remiss to leave this iconic woman out of our list. Actress Edith Fore is best known for appearing in LifeCall’s commercials with the line: “I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up.” She starred in the ad when she was 70 years old.
Jenny Craig Girl: Estimated $1.55 million (for losing 47 pounds)
Actress Valerie Bertinelli was selected by Jenny Craig to appear in an ad campaign that included her commitment to a weight loss journey with the company’s program. She stunned audiences when she appeared in a bathing suit in the ad, stating: “nothing’s stopping me from diving into this summer.” After losing 47 pounds through the program, Bertinelli became the spokesperson and earned $1.55 million — a great motivator!
Pantene Girl: $100,000-$1 million
Back in the 1980’s, actress Kelly LeBrock’s hair was the envy of many women in the United States. She appeared in the classic Pantene commercial, which featured her famous line: “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.” LeBrock has also appeared in films like Weird Science, A Prince for Christmas, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
The Pepsi Girl: $333,333
In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, one of the most recognized faces on TV belonged to an adorable little girl named Hallie Eisenberg who appeared in ads for Pepsi as “the Pepsi Girl.” What you might not know is that she is the younger sister of actor Jesse Eisenberg. Hallie has also appeared in films like The Miracle Worker, Holy Rollers, and Bicentennial Man.
Brad Pitt: $7 million
While there are plenty of ad campaigns that have launched unknown actors’ careers, the opposite is also true. Many times, prominent actors will revitalize brands by appearing in their ads. That can definitely be said when Brad Pitt was paid $7 million for promoting Chanel’s ad for Chanel No. 5 in order to help promote the brand with men.
Angelina Jolie: $10 million
Angelina Jolie appeared in a controversial Louis Vuitton ad that featured the actress against a backdrop of scenery in Cambodia. Many thought it was tasteless to promote a high-end luxury brand in such a poor developing country. Jolie used part of the $10 million she earned from the ad to donate to charity.
Jared Fogle: $15 million
From the early 2000’s and through 2015, Subway had a massively successful advertising campaign with Jared Fogle, who lost 245 pounds and credited his weight loss to eating Subway sandwiches. The campaign came to a halt when he was involved in a major scandal. He is currently serving time in prison.
Catherine Zeta-Jones : $20 million
Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones appeared in a T-Mobile advertisement that ended up being quite popular. As the company’s global spokeswoman, she represented T-Mobile in worldwide ads, earning an impressive $20 million for her participation in the campaign.
Jay-Z: $20 million
Rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in the world. That’s probably the main reason why Samsung chose him to be the spokesperson for the Samsung Galaxy phone. He was paid handsomely for the ad campaign, a total of $20 million.
Beyonce: $50 million
Beyonce is one of the most famous individuals in the world, if not the absolutely most recognized celebrity in the world. She agreed to be a part of a Pepsi advertisement campaign that earned her an insane $50 million in order to promote the soft drink.
50 Cent: $80 million
50 Cent was chosen by Reebok to be the spokesperson for their shoes, and they certainly paid him very well for those role. He was paid $80 million to promote and be the face of their G-Unit sneakers. At the time, the commercial was the highest earning ad of all time. The campaign was so successful that apparently Reebok was scrambling to restock the shoes during the holiday shopping season.
Lebron James: $90 million ($12.9 million/year)
Basketball star Lebron James signed on with Nike for an advertisement deal that earned him $12.9 million per year in a seven year contract, coming in a total of about $90 million. While that means he can only publicly wear Nike shoes, we don’t think that it’s a bad tradeoff at all for him. The campaign was a success, as its sales increased by $350 million after Lebron began his endorsement deal.
Tiger Woods: $100 million
Despite being involved in scandals, Tiger Woods has still managed to keep up incredibly lucrative endorsement deals. His highest paying gig came from Nike, who paid him an astounding $100 million to promote their brand. The risky move paid off, as the advertisement campaign was a success.
David Beckham: $160 million
David Beckham is a sports legend, which is probably why he is the highest-paid celebrity when it comes to endorsement deals. Beckham was paid a whopping $160 million to promote Adidas and become the brand’s face. The campaign was a massive success.
George Clooney – $60 Million
Actor George Clooney is known for his multitude of roles in highly successful films and for his status as an A-list celebrity. This is definitely why Nespresso chose Clooney to become the face of their brand. They paid him $60 million to appear in TV commercials worldwide to promote their espresso coffee pods and machines.
Taylor Swift – $26 Million
Taylor Swift was chosen by Coca-Cola to appear in their advertisements for their Diet Coke campaign, and offered her $26 million for the role. She agreed and appeared in print and TV ads for the soda company, which incorporated her music as well, meaning the campaign was a win-win for both parties involved.
