She was donned “The Forces Sweetheart” because she began her singing career during World War II, her beautiful voice providing soldiers comfort during the war. Can you believe that this powerhouse recently released an album named ‘Vera Lynn 100’ to commemorate her 100th birthday. It’s impressive enough that she released an album at such an old age, but can you believe that it reached #3 in the charts?! We are at a loss for words.
