Despite their falling out many years prior, Dolly rushed to be at Porter Wagoner’s bedside when he was battling lung cancer. He passed away when he was 80 years old. Dolly was there to support him and also so they could say goodbye. She stated in an interview this experience was extremely difficult, and she prayed for him.
