There are absolutely no cash exchanges at Burning Man, it’s actually forbidden. People are encouraged to give gifts and exchange favors instead. They have a trading system where something is exchanged for something else, be it a physical gift or a favor.

Other than lemonade and coffee which is sold at the center camp, nothing else is sold at the festival. In keeping with the tradition of gifting, people at the camp must rely on trading and sharing for anything they want.
