Introduction
The last season of the show suffered a sudden drop in ratings. As a countermeasure, they employed a drastic change in the show to hopefully increase the ratings. A new character, Cousin Oliver, was introduced during the fifth season. However, his presence didn’t do much for the show. Nowadays, the character “Cousin Oliver” has turned into a term that means adding a young actor to the cast to hopefully revive the series and prevent its cancellation.
