Italy
Italy has so much to offer to families who are visiting, from beautiful beaches, lovely countryside, and ancient cities. Of course, Italy is known for its excellent cuisine, and it is certainly kid friendly. Your kids will absolutely love the local pizza, pasta, and gelato, so there’s really not much of a concern that your kids will go hungry while on a trip here. Italian chefs are known for dedicating themselves to fresh, local ingredients which only makes your dining experience better – for the whole family.
Croatia
Much like Italy, Croatia has endless beautiful nature including coastlines, waterfalls, and more, as well as lovely cities and historical towns. However, Croatian food is not commonly known, but it’s great for picky eaters. Some dishes that stand out include Fritule, fried doughnut balls, Fuži, which is quill shaped pasta usually served with a cream sauce or meat sauce, and Peka, a meat and vegetable stew.
Spain
Spain is a popular choice for a lot of families because it’s full of gorgeous, clean beaches, plenty of sights, and of course, amazing food. Each region has its famous dishes, and many of them are great for the entire family. From paella, gazpacho, churros served with melted chocolate, you’ll find something delicious to eat for everyone.
Iceland
Iceland is not usually the first destination on people’s mind when it comes to cuisine, which is a shame. The best way to experience Iceland is by road trip, and along the way you and the kids can enjoy all of the food the country has to offer. Reykjavik, the bustling capital city, has plenty of amazing restaurants, noteworthy cafes, and everything in between.
Portugal
Portuguese food is well known for being amazing, so naturally it is often at the top of foodies’ bucket list destinations. One of the best dishes to try is Feijoada, a bean stew that usually includes pork or seafood. Another delicious dish is Caldo Verde, which is made of pureed potatoes mixed with dark green cabbage, and is a great way to have your kids enjoy eating some green vegetables.
