Typically whenever Starbucks unveils a new drink, everyone has an opinion. And well, in this case, it was definitely a either you love it…or you hate it. Let’s just say, we’re glad the Unicorn Frappuccino was only available for a week.
Now that we’ve said all that, it’s only fair we introduce a totally new craze that was inspired by the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino. Folks, we’re proud to introduce…Mermaid Lemonade. Thanks to The Glowing Fridge we’ve got our hands on the perfect recipe. And yes, it is as scrumptious as it looks. Oh yeah, it’s incredibly healthy too! That adorable Caribbean-blue color comes from spirulina powder, an algae packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Furthermore, the spirulina powder helps to control allergies as it has anti-inflammatory properties. Wait, it doesn’t stop there either. The drink includes coconut vinegar which is similar to the health benefits of apple cider vinegar.
